Village Farms has transformed from a volatile legacy produce operator into a pure-play global cannabis platform. The Verdexa transaction privatized most produce exposure, delivered $40 million of cash, and left Village Farms focused on higher-margin cannabis through Canadian adult-use brands, European medical exports, the Dutch recreational pilot, and a smaller U.S. CBD business.
